Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
A-1 Lock & Safe Co., Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates https://www.evansvilleindianalocksmith.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
The Site is intended for users in the United States.
Contact: info@evansvilleindianalocksmith.com — A-1 Lock & Safe Co., Inc., Evansville, Indiana. We are a mobile locksmith with no walk-in counter, so mail intended for us should be sent to the mailing address we give you on request.
2. Scope
This policy covers the Site. We publish no mobile application. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, which have their own policies.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us directly. Nothing, through the Site. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account registration, and no payment page — contact is by phone, by our choice. When you call us, we take what the job needs: your name, a callback number, the service address, a description of the vehicle, lock, or safe, and proof that the property is yours. That is collected on the phone and in person rather than through the Site, and we describe it here so this policy is complete. Card payments are taken at the job by our card reader; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics and advertising providers collect:
- IP address (see Section 4 for how Google Analytics handles it)
- Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution
- Approximate location derived from IP address, typically at city or region level
- The referring URL, and the search term or ad campaign that brought you to the Site
- Pages viewed, events triggered, clicks — including clicks on our phone number — and time spent
- Date and time of visit, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie that lets us recognize a returning browser
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, or information about health, religion, or sexual orientation through the Site.
4. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Our measurement ID is G-7TC4XVNYNB.
- GA4 sets cookies containing a randomly generated identifier and sends usage data — pages viewed, events, device and browser details, approximate location, and referral source — to Google, which processes it on our behalf under the Google Analytics Terms of Service.
- IP addresses. GA4 uses IP address to derive approximate location and to protect the service, but does not log or store IP addresses.
- Retention. We have set user- and event-level data retention in GA4 to 2 months. Aggregated reports may be retained longer.
- We have not enabled Google Signals, demographics and interests reporting, or remarketing audiences in GA4.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Google Ads conversion tracking
We advertise on Google, using conversion ID AW-991884057. Because the Site is phone-only, the action we measure is a click or tap on our phone number. When you arrive on the Site from one of our ads and then click the number to call us, a cookie set through Google Ads lets us attribute that call attempt to the ad. We receive aggregate conversion counts and campaign performance data — not your identity, and not a recording or transcript of the call.
We do not use Google Ads remarketing or retargeting, we do not build advertising audiences from Site visitors, we do not upload customer lists to Google, and we do not use enhanced conversions — the Site collects no name, email address, or phone number that could be sent to Google in the first place.
You can control the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com and turn off ads personalization at adssettings.google.com.
6. Vercel
The Site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which serves the pages and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for page-view counts. It sets no cookies, does not use device fingerprinting, and does not track visitors across other websites; the data we see is aggregated.
7. How we use this information
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site
- To understand which pages and content are useful, and to improve them
- To measure whether our advertising works and to allocate our ad budget
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims
8. Who we share information with
- Google, as described in Sections 4 and 5.
- Service providers who host the Site and provide our email service, under contracts that restrict what they may do with the data.
- Legal and corporate. Where required by law or valid legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We do not use Site data to target advertising to you across other websites or apps.
9. Your choices and rights
Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. The Site itself works without them — nothing on it requires a cookie to function.
Advertising opt-outs.
- Google Analytics opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Google ads settings: adssettings.google.com
- Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to obtain a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and certain profiling, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We extend these rights to all US residents regardless of state.
To make a request, email info@evansvilleindianalocksmith.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity — usually by asking you to confirm information we already hold — and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need more time. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond to the appeal within 45 days and, if we deny it again, tell you how to contact your state attorney general.
10. Cookies we set
All three are set by Google’s tags. The Site sets no login, session, or consent cookie of its own, because it has no login, no session, and no consent banner. Lifetimes are Google’s defaults and can vary by configuration.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes browsers | 2 years |
| _ga_7TC4XVNYNB | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads conversion linker | Attributes calls to ad clicks | 90 days |
11. Data retention
Analytics data is retained for the GA4 period stated in Section 4. Conversion data is retained according to Google’s Ads data retention policies. Records of work we have done for you — the job, the address, and the hardware — are kept for as long as we need them to stand behind the work and to keep ordinary business and tax records.
Keying records are the deliberate exception. When we build a master key system we keep the keying schedule on file so a matching key can be cut years later without re-surveying the building. Those records are released only to the verified owner, on the same proof of ownership we ask for before we open anything. Tell us if you would rather we destroy them.
12. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact info@evansvilleindianalocksmith.com and we will delete it.
13. Security
The Site is served over an encrypted connection (TLS) as static files. It has no database, no user accounts, and no stored card numbers, which removes most of what an attacker would want from it. The accounts that can change the Site, and the mailbox that receives privacy requests, are protected by access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will give more prominent notice on the Site.
