What this covers

We are transponder-key specialists, and have been since chips first showed up in ignitions. If you have lost all keys to a vehicle, we can originate a new one from the vehicle itself — no dealer visit, no tow bill. That covers cut-and-program of transponder and chip keys, remote head keys, key fobs, and proximity smart keys for push-to-start vehicles. It also covers the mechanical side most shops send out: worn or seized ignitions, keys that turn but will not start, door locks and trunk locks that no longer match the key.

Automotive services

  • Car key replacement (all keys lost)
  • Transponder & chip keys cut and programmed
  • Key fob and remote programming
  • Push-to-start / proximity smart keys
  • Ignition replacement
  • High-security laser-cut (sidewinder) keys

What to expect

No surprises when we pull up.

We ask what you are drivingYear, make, model, and whether any working key exists. That tells us which key blank and programmer to load before we leave.
We arrive at the vehicleWherever it sits — driveway, parking lot, workplace, or the side of the road. Most calls in Evansville and the surrounding towns are reached inside the hour during posted hours.
We verify ownershipPhoto ID plus registration, title, or insurance card in your name. For a vehicle you cannot get into, we can often verify through the plate and your ID.
We cut and program on siteAn all-keys-lost transponder job typically runs 30 to 60 minutes; smart keys and some European vehicles take longer.

What it costs

We are upfront with pricing. On automotive work the price is quoted on the phone before we roll, and it is driven by four things:

The key itselfA basic edge-cut key costs a fraction of a laser-cut smart key. The blank and the chip are the biggest single variable.
Whether a working key existsDuplicating from a working key is the cheapest job we do. Originating a key with all keys lost takes longer and costs more.
Programming methodSome vehicles accept a key at the dash in minutes. Others require pulling a module or an extended security wait.
Where and whenOn-site service inside our normal area during posted hours is standard rate. Distance and after-hours calls add to it.

Ranges are quoted on the phone before we come out. Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express.

Makes we cut and program

Text list, not a wall of trademarked logos. If yours is not here, call and ask — coverage changes with model year.

Automotive questions

Can you make a key if I lost every one?

Yes. That is routine work for us. We originate the key from the vehicle, cut it, and program it to your car at the vehicle.

Do I need a tow to the dealer?

Almost never. We come to the car. Towing plus a dealer key is usually the most expensive way to solve this problem.

Can you program a fob I bought online?

Sometimes. Aftermarket fobs vary in quality and some will not accept programming. Bring it and we will try — we will not charge you for a fob that cannot be programmed.

What do I need to prove the car is mine?

Photo ID plus registration, title, or an insurance card in your name.
